Consists of two diaries, the first begins in Morgan's childhood at the age of twelve and covers the years 1792-1799, while the second covers the time period from 1807-1811. The diaries contain brief entries that record his daily activities, including school work (with pages containing aphorisms, penmanship practice and scribbling), chores and farm work, the weather, travel destinations, and family news.
